Week Six: October 3

On this cold and gray autumn day, we're going to revise and edit the paragraphs we wrote last week on Market Street. Remember way back then? The first paragraph (5-10 sentences) should be primarily your direct observations. The second paragraph (5-10 sentences) should "activate" your observations. What do they mean? Why?

But first We're going to quickly go over the hand-out "20 Common Writing Errors" from Ashford University. An online version is here. I think this will take about 20 minutes. From 2:25 or so until 3:00, you will be working on your paragraphs from last week. At 3:00, we'll meet back in this room and share our writing on the digital projector.
